New decade – new challenges - new ways

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific Committee and our Societies, it is our privilege to invite you to the Annual Meeting of the Swiss Society of Gastroenterology (SGG-SSG), the Swiss Society of Visceral Surgery (SGVC-SSCV), the Swiss Association for the Study of the Liver (SASL) and the Swiss Society of Endoscopy Nurses and Associates (SVEP-ASPE).

This year's congress will take place again at the Congress Centre Kursaal Interlaken. For the first time we will have in the new large auditorium a joint program of SGG/SSG and SVEP/ASPE. All SVEP/ASPE sessions will be translated into German and French simultaneously.

The scientific program includes a broad range of educational and scientific sessions covering a spectrum of topics relevant for your daily practice. Outstanding international and national speakers will enrich the program.

Whether the speaker will be in Interlaken or whether they will be with us via Livestream will depend on the actual situation in September. However, we will do our best to offer you a varied program on emergent and important topics of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Visceral Surgery. In addition, there will be ample room for Free Communications, including video and case presentations, for which we hope to attract the best of Swiss basic, translational and clinical research in digestive and liver diseases.

Also for the first time, this year we will offer Hands-On-Workshops during the whole congress for all participants SVEP-SGG-SASL-SGVC.

Last but not least, the scientific program will be complemented by Lunch Symposia.

Besides the educational and scientific sessions the Annual Meeting should also be a time for informal exchange and social interactions. We strongly believe you will find the opportunities for professional and collegial interactions in the beautiful Berner Oberland, and enjoy the excitement of contemporary themes and new developments.
